To celebrate the United States 250 year Semiquincentennial, the Silverton Country Historical Society for the July 3rd First Friday celebration, has created a “Walking Tour” of Silverton’s historic Downtown core. Sponsored by Business Owners, our historic downtown becomes a virtual museum, with storefronts displaying large-scale archival photos of their buildings from the early days with “Then & Now” placards. This way, we connect the modern economy to Silverton’s timber and trade roots.
